Compassion, Healing, Recovery, Empowerment

Currently, a group meets at Kennedy Memorial Park Recreational Center located at 335 Greenwich St., Hempstead, NY 11550. The group meets every third Thursday of the month from 6 pm to 8 pm. Virtual groups are also available.

A Certified Grief Counselor and Social Worker is at every session. Members share their stories and engage in personal and group coping and healing activities that create a circle of love, compassion, and empowerment for families.

At the heart of every session and activity is to let those who have experienced such traumatic loss know that neither they nor their loved ones have been forgotten and that they are not alone.

Outreach:

Life After Loss A.N.D.R.E. actively engages in its outreach efforts through its connections to funeral homes and the court system. A volunteer Outreach Liaison speaks at the Nassau County Correctional Facility and at juvenile detention centers encourage both the adults and youth populations to make better decisions.
